Data protection statement

TEXPORT® Handelsgesellschaft m.b.H. takes the protection of personal data very seriously. We process personal data collected when you visit our websites in accordance with the data privacy legislation laid down in the EU General Data Protection Regulation (EUGDPR) currently in force. We neither publish your data, nor are they passed on to third parties without authorisation. The statement below explains the type of data collected when you visit our web pages and how exactly they are used:

1. Data collected and processed via internet access

When you visit our web pages our webservers make a temporary record of every visit in a log file. The following data are collected and saved until they are automatically deleted:

  • IP address of the device submitting the request
  • Date and time of access
  • Name and URL of the accessed data
  • Volume of data transferred
  • Message reporting whether data was pulled down successfully
  • Data identifying the browser and operating system used
  • The website that accessed the information
  • Name of your internet access provider

These data are processed to enable the website to be accessed (‘connecting’), for system security, for the technical administration of network infrastructure and to optimise the internet offering. The IP address is only analysed if TEXPORT® HandelsgesmbH net infrastructure is attacked.

Personal data are not processed beyond the above-mentioned cases, unless you explicitly permit such additional processing. Pseudonymised user profiles can be created in compliance with the guidelines for web analyses (see below).

2. Orders

If you order informative material or other goods via our web pages, the address details you provide will only be used for the purposes of order processing.

3. Use and disclosure of personal details

Any use of your personal data must be solely for the purposes listed in the statement, and only to the extent required to serve these purposes. These data are not passed on to third parties. Personal data are only passed on to state institutions and authorities if required by national law, or if disclosure is required for legal or criminal prosecution as a result of attacks on our internet infrastructure. There shall be no disclosure for other reasons.

4. Consent to additional use

Use of certain offerings on our website, such as newsletters or forums may necessitate prior registration and further processing of personal data. This may involve longer-term storage of e-mail addresses, user identification and passwords. The use of such data only takes place if you have disclosed this information to us and explicitly authorised us in advance to use it. In the following cases we request your permission in specific places:

4.1 Newsletters and press distribution lists

The minimum requirement for TEXPORT® Handelsgesellschaft m.b.H. newsletter service registration is the e-mail address to which the newsletter is to be sent. The provision of additional information is voluntary and it can only be used with your consent, e.g. to address you in person and to clear up questions concerning your e-mail address. We will require your postal address if information is to be sent via the postal service. For press mailing lists, to ensure the information is actually received by a press organisation we require information about the press organisation for which you work.

As a rule, we employ the double opt-in procedure for registration. This means you are only sent the newsletter once you have sent us your e-mail address and confirmed your intent to register via a link in the e-mail we send back to you. Registration and confirmation are entered into a protocol. This is intended to ensure that you are the only person capable of registering for, and logging in to, the newsletter service as the user of the e-mail address provided. You will be required to confirm fairly quickly once we have sent you the e-mail, otherwise your registration and e-mail address will be deleted from our database. Until we have received your confirmation, our newsletter service will not accept any further registrations via this e-mail address.

You can cancel your subscription to the newsletter at any time by either sending us an e-mail to this effect or by cancelling via a link at the end of the newsletter.

5. Cookies

In general, our web pages do not use cookies. Cookies are only used in exceptional cases to deposit data in the memory of your browser to aid technical session management. These data will be deleted as soon as you close your browser. If we, as an exception, need to store a cookie containing your personal details, we will inform you of this specifically.

Obviously, you can also view our web pages without cookies. However, most browsers accept cookies automatically. The saving of cookies can be prevented by specifying this in your browser settings. The functionality of our online offerings may be limited if you do not accept cookies.

6. Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a Google Inc. (Google) web analytics service. Google Analytics uses text files known as ‘cookies’. They are saved on your computer and facilitate an analysis of the way you use our website. In general, the information generated by the cookies about your use of the website is sent to a server in the USA for storage. If IP anonymisation is activated on this website your IP address will be abbreviated by Google within member states of the European Union or in other countries party to the European Economic Area treaty prior to storage. The full IP address will only be sent to a Google server in the USA and abbreviated there under exceptional circumstances. Google uses this information on behalf of the operator of the website to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide additional services in connection with website and internet use for the benefit of the website operator. The IP address sent from your browser via Google Analytics is not linked to other data collected by Google. You can prevent the cookies from being saved by adjusting your browser software settings accordingly. However, if you do so, you may not have access to the full range or scope of website functionality.
Furthermore, you can prevent the data generated by cookies and the information about website use (including your IP address) from being sent to – and processed by – Google, by downloading and installing the browser plugin available via this link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de

7. Social Plugins

In certain places our web pages use Social Plugins, such as for social networks like Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Google+. They are often run from the USA and other countries outside Austria and the EU, and often provided via national subsidiaries in the EU (see website providers: www.facebook.com, www.twitter.com, www.youtube.com and www.google.com). Plugins can appear with the company logo, in comment spaces or buttons such as »Like« or »+1«.

Whenever you open a page of our web offering containing such a plugin in your web browser it connects directly with the server of the respective provider in that country.

The integration of plugins tells website operators at least that you have visited a certain page within our web offering and may, in some cases, provide additional information about your web browser or the device you have used. Your web browser loads the plugin straight from the provider and links directly to our website. If you are registered and logged in with the provider in question, your visit can also be matched to your user account.

If you interact with a plugin, such as when you click a »Like« button or leave a comment in a designated form space, this information will be sent straight from your browser to the site operator, where it will be saved and, if required, used for additional purposes and published.

The main purpose and scope of data collection, and reasons for using these data as described above, aid marketing for the company operating the website and for TEXPORT® Handelsgesellschaft m.b.H.. For further details, information about your rights and optional settings to protect your privacy, please check the data privacy statement issued by your seller.

If you do not want a seller to be able to collect data via our website, please deactivate the plugins in your web browser. If you prefer to avoid being linked to an existing user account, you need to log out before bevor visiting our web pages. If you visit our web pages you will be considered to have accepted the conditions stated prior to use.

8. Security

In order to protect your details, while we process the personal data you have provided TEXPORT® Handelsgesellschaft m.b.H. implements technical and organisational security measures to guard against accidental or deliberate manipulation, loss, destruction or access by unauthorised persons. Our safety measures are continuously being improved to incorporate the latest relevant technological developments.

9. Links to 3rd-party websites

Our websites may include links to third-party websites. Please note that this data protection statement only applies to web pages operated by TEXPORT® Handelsgesellschaft m.b.H.. We have no influence upon third-party websites, nor do we check to ensure they adhere to the data protection legislation currently in force.

10. Rights to demand, delete and object to information and contact details

At any time, within a reasonable scope, you shall be entitled to demand information on, or deletion of your processed personal data. You are entitled to amend these data or to block access to them. Furthermore, you are entitled to refuse permission to process your personal details at any time and without stating any reasons. If you do so, we will cease to process your personal data with immediate effect and delete them irretrievably. Please note, this results in the exclusion of further cooperation and, subsequently, it will no longer be possible to provide services.

If you would like information about your personal data, or you would like to correct or delete them; if you wish to object to them or have more profound questions regarding the uses of the personal details you have provided us with:

Contact us

If you have registered as a user of individual TEXPORT® Handelsgesellschaft m.b.H. services, we can – in certain cases – enable you to view, delete or amend information via a user account.

In cases of dissatisfaction, discrepancies or suspicion of irregularities, those affected are entitled to make direct contact with the data protection authorities in his/her own country.

11. Applicability, validity and up-to-dateness of the data protection statement

By using our website, you consent to the above-detailed uses of your data. This data protection statement was last updated on 15.05.2018 and is currently in force.

Development of our website or the implementation of new technologies may necessitate changes in this data protection statement. TEXPORT® Handelsgesellschaft m.b.H. reserves the right to change the content of the data protection statement at any time. The changes shall take immediate effect. We recommend you read the current version of the data protection statement occasionally.

12. Data Processing in the Context of the Application Process

The processing of your data is necessary for the processing of your application in accordance with Art. 6 (1) lit. b of the EU General Data Protection Regulation – Regulation 2016/679 (hereinafter “GDPR”; pre-contractual relationship). Additionally, your data may be processed based on the consent you provided according to Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR.

Your personal data will be retained by Texport for a period of 24 months after the end of your application process so that we can contact you in case there are further job opportunities at Texport that may be of interest to you.

If your application is successful, we will retain the data collected in connection with the application process for as long as legal retention obligations exist or until any legal claims have become time-barred.
